In a hydrocracking unit, the feed materials include normal paraffins, naphthenes, aromatics, reduced paraffins, and catalytic diesel; there are only cold light fractions and cold heavy fractions. What are the reasons for the emulsification of the cold heavy fraction oil?
I also think the main reason is likely excessive water injection. If it’s not possible to reduce the amount of water injected, then: Recommendation: 1. Slightly increase the liquid level in the cold fractionator； 2. Slightly increase the temperature of cold high-pressure separation ； 3. Check and confirm the water quality
