Hello everyone, I’m new here. I’m facing a tricky problem right now and would like to ask for your advice. If a chemical plant shuts down for over 40 days, and then heavy rains wash water from the mountains near the plant as well as from the main roads leading to the plant into the plant’s rainwater drainage system, the plant has measures in place to collect water 15 minutes before rain starts. However, due to the intensity of the rain, the water discharged is very turbid. Tests have shown that the chemical oxygen demand level is slightly above the allowed limit. I would like to know what criteria the environmental protection authorities will use to impose fines in such cases. Are there any regulations regarding the discharge of rainwater? Thank you all!
