Has anyone encountered a similar situation, where all 10 operation stations of the Allen-Bradley DCS system experience lagging screen switching and slow trend display?
5.2.4 or 6.5.2?
M6.5.2 system, K series, installed the year before last, has been in use for over 1 year
Check the CPU and memory usage in Windows Explorer. Is there an abnormal process? The K series is generally not based on a C/S architecture these days; it’s a direct-reading type. Is the network working properly?
Not clear, waiting for analysis. It has also happened in our factory; it seems to be related to the old MacSV 4.6 system. This issue has occurred a couple of times, on computers that are already 9 years old. According to the service team, it’s due to the aging of the servers and control station hosts. However, some experts suggest that the system architecture itself requires all data to pass through switches before reaching the servers, which may lead to communication congestion on the servers. The worst incident occurred when all the operation stations, engineer stations, and servers stopped working; fortunately, the controller was not affected, so no production shutdown took place.
Regarding this question, is there a switch in the system? You can try using a better switch. I’ve encountered issues with image flickering; after ruling out all other possibilities, the problem was traced back to the switch, due to data congestion
Restart the server or switch to a redundant server
