Blowing with hydrogen is used because, due to its high pressure and large flow rate, it facilitates effective cleaning; moreover, the hydrogen introduced into the main feed line can be reused
The hydrogen blowing here at the feed pump is mainly used for oil removal; some hydrogen blowing takes place in the gas vapor stream of the distillation tower, where it serves as an auxiliary stripping mechanism to maintain the liquid level in the reflux tank when the steam temperature is low~~~
It depends on which medium has high pressure. Here, in addition to the hydrogen lines, we also have high-pressure nitrogen at pressures over 100 kilograms~~~~
Its main function is to purge the oil in the section from the outlet of the feed pump to the inlet of the reactor. If you pay close attention, you will notice that there is no steam purging process in the section from the inlet of the feed pump to the heat exchanger; the reason for this is that using steam for purging would introduce water into the reactor, which is highly detrimental to the catalyst. Therefore, when shutting down the operation, hydrogen is used for purging as soon as the feed pump is stopped, in order to remove any remaining oil.
