What is the COD level of the water in the liquefied gas washing tank? Is it lower if the water is changed more frequently, or higher if the replacement interval is longer?
It depends on the test values. Generally speaking, it should be higher when the replacement interval is longer
We recently conducted tests, and the COD level of the alkaline wastewater was over 20,000; regular replacement significantly reduces this value
High water injection volume leads to a reduction in COD and a high displacement rate. Conversely, it increases.
This is because liquefied gas has a certain solubility in water; it’s therefore a matter of dissolution equilibrium. By changing the water regularly, it is possible to ensure that the amount of liquefied gas dissolved in the water does not exceed its solubility limit. The rest is not hard to understand.
