Before the college entrance exam, it is the only time in one’s life when knowledge reaches its peak!
Classic. Now all that’s left is to use the phone

In high school, everyone was an expert at learning*
That’s quite true; even after starting work, one is constantly in the process of learning. One ends up knowing much more about professional knowledge than during university, and also learns how to handle social relationships and such things
These have basically all been returned to the teacher...
Proverbs can be recited effortlessly, Tang and Song poems are easy to chant, classical Chinese prose and formulae can be written readily, English words are known by heart; one has knowledge of astrophysics at the higher end, as well as geography and humanities at the lower end – understanding of the universe and planets on a large scale, and knowledge of electrons and protons on a smaller scale. One is aware of genetic variation in biology, of peptide bonds and hydrogen bonds in chemistry, and of the principles of nuclear transformation in physics.
Why doesn’t it work now?
It’s illogical to have forgotten something from science and engineering; I still remember it clearly
I can’t even figure out sine and cosine anymore, haha
Back then, knowledge came from others telling us what it was; now, our knowledge comes from self-exploration, with no one giving us the answers.
