According to reports on December 15th, Beijing time, in a match of the Dutch Cup, Chinese player Zhang Yuning started in the team and was responsible for earning an red card for the opponent as well as a penalty kick; Vitesse went on to defeat Zondag Boys 4-0. In the 51st minute, Zhang Yuning was fouled by the opponent, resulting in a red card for that player and giving Vitesse a penalty kick. Beck converted the penalty, changing the score to 3-0.
