How can I determine the appropriate fire safety distance between a foam station and surrounding facilities?

GB50160-2008 4.2.8 The foam station in the tank area should be located in a non-explosion-proof zone outside the fire dike of the tank cluster, with a fire separation distance from the flammable liquid tanks of not less than 20m； Paragraph 3 of Article 8.1.1 of GB50151-2010 stipulates that the distance between foam fire pump stations and the storage tanks or installations containing Class A, B, or C liquids that are to be protected should not be less than 30 m. How is the distance between the foam station and non-protected objects determined? Which standard and which clause should be followed? Can it be considered as a Class II critical facility for the entire plant in accordance with GB50160-2008? Thank you!

Foam fire pump stations and foam stations are not the same thing； Foam fire pump stations should be given the same importance as fire pump rooms (stations), and should be classified as category II essential plant facilities. GB50151-2010 8.1.6 It is strictly prohibited to locate independent foam stations within fire dikes, cofferdams, or within the protection area of foam-water spray systems. The distance between the separate foam station located outside the fire dike and the tank wall should be greater than 20 m, and it should have remote control functionality.
