With the new device, when an alkaline substance is mixed directly with acid in the pipeline and then passes through the mixer, the pH level fluctuates between 3 and 9. I’m not sure how to resolve this issue ? ? ? ?
Is it necessary to add a mixer to the pipeline? It’s not possible to install a pH meter directly on the pipeline, just like in the case of temperature measurement. Also, what is the effectiveness of a mixer?
Is the flow rate of the alkaline substance stable? Logically, in the case of a continuous production system, as long as there are no significant fluctuations in the flow rate, it is still possible to keep the parameters within a relatively narrow range. Take a look at what the flow rate of the alkaline substance is like~
Thank you. The flow rate of the alkaline material is quite stable; it’s just the pH that fluctuates a lot
If both streams of material are stable, then there are two issues. One is that the mixer isn’t effective enough, resulting in inadequate mixing; after all, the space in the pipes is limited, and if the mixing time is too short, problems such as uneven distribution can occur. The fluid passes through the pH meter before it has been neutralized, which naturally leads to large fluctuations in pH values. The other issue is that the location where the pH meter is placed isn’t optimal. Personally, I think the first issue is more significant. If you use a tank for mixing, then there will be no fluctuations at all, and everything will be fine~
Put a buffer tank after {:3_54:}, and place the pH meter inside it
Thank you, I disagree with the can-sealing process
Support what was said on the 5th floor. Additionally, it is recommended that the original poster try changing the acidic or alkaline materials or adding corrosion inhibitors.
Thank you, I disagree with the process using a buffer tank. . . Personally, I also think the mixing in the pipeline is not good.
If the process department disagrees, then have them resolve this issue; it’s after all their responsibility to handle such problems.
A mixing tank might also be needed, and this reaction may require a delayed reaction time.
