According to GB 30871, hot work is defined as unconventional operations that may generate flames, sparks, or hot surfaces, carried out in areas where welding is prohibited and outside of process facilities that directly or indirectly produce open flames; it deals with the management of hot work in such prohibited areas. Enterprises should first define the scope of no-fire zones in their regulations, and establish standards for managing hot work within these zones. For welding operations in areas where fire restrictions do not apply, enterprises may establish relevant requirements for such operations within their appropriate management systems.
