(Please hide your replies) The “20” in 20 steel refers to the carbon content; with a carbon content of 0.2%, it belongs to low-carbon steel. The allowable stress of steel grade 20 at 100°C is 130 MPa for pipes made from this steel, while for forged products of this grade, the allowable stress is 108 MPa. Type 20 is a seamless steel tube used for transporting fluids, in accordance with the standard GB8163, and is suitable for medium and low pressure applications; 20g is steel plate for boilers, with the standard GB713; it is in sheet form ; 20G is a grade for high-pressure carbon steel boiler tubes; the applicable standard is GB5310, and it is suitable for medium to high-pressure applications ;

20 refers to ordinary 20# steel. 20g’s G is steel used for boilers; as for 20G, I’m not sure – I need to study it a bit
