Please tell me whether propylene is corrosive; this property is not mentioned in the details of propylene. Everyone is encouraged to participate actively!

Pure propylene is non-corrosive, but propylene used in industry generally contains organic and inorganic sulfur, which causes corrosion during storage, transportation, and use. For example, stress corrosion, which is common in propylene separation, is closely related to the presence of sulfur.

Molecular weight 42.08, density 0.5139 g/cm³ (20/4°C), freezing point -185.3°C, boiling point -47.4°C. Flammable, with an explosion limit of 2% to 11%. It is insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents, and it is considered a substance with low toxicity. Propylene is a basic raw material for the three major synthetic materials, and it is mainly used to produce acrylonitrile, isopropylene, propylene oxide, and other substances. Propylene is non-corrosive.
