Can a DN400 ball valve be manual? Is it possible to make a valve of such a large diameter manual?
It’s possible to do it, but it’s a bit difficult to turn it on and off. Hehe~
Manual is certainly possible. It’s just a bit labor-intensive; with electric or pneumatic versions, you just need to press a button. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Price issue
DN800 can also be operated manually
Check the pressure difference on both sides of the valve; if it is high, a small bypass valve is usually installed in parallel next to the main valve. When operating it, open the small valve first, and once the pressure difference decreases, then open the main valve – this makes the process less strenuous.
Check if yours has any requirements regarding the switching time. If an emergency shutdown is required, how much time does it take to turn it off manually?
