Which is better for butterfly valves: multi-layer sealing rings on the valve seat or on the disc?

I would like to ask the teachers: for metal hard-sealed triple-eccentric butterfly valves, are the stainless steel multi-layer seals installed on the valve seat or on the butterfly disc? Which option is better? What are their respective advantages and disadvantages?
Most of them are installed on the butterfly valve, right?
On the disc plate, I’ve seen it; I haven’t seen it on the valve body
