Everyone, take a look at this piping issue

As the title suggests, guys, there’s a Roots oil pump that simply can’t draw out all the oil from the system. The piping layout on site is as follows: a small pipe is connected to the main pipe; the elevation of the main pipe is 5 meters, while that of the small pipe is 3 meters. Several such small pipes lead to a collection pipe at an elevation of 6 meters. The pump then draws in oil from this collection pipe, with its inlet being at an elevation of 10 meters. Now, the client is complaining that the pump still can’t draw out all the oil. What do you think are the reasons for this issue? Is it a liquid pocket caused by the piping? What are the improvement methods?
I think it’s a liquid bag caused by the piping. Would it be possible to install a vent at the lowest position, at the farthest end?
A manual drain valve can be installed at the lowest point; the oil collected there can then be manually discharged~~~
