May I ask, is the check valve installed in front of or behind the valve? Are there any requirements or principles?
Here, they are all installed between the pump and the valves, as there are usually 2–3 valves at the pump’s outlet; it isn’t cost-effective to install a check valve behind each outlet.
Generally, a check valve is installed after the pump outlet, and then a shut-off valve follows
Don’t rely too much on that thing; it’s mainly important to keep stress under control. When replacing it, just cut it out and add it back in the same place
When used on pumps, we install a check valve after the pump’s outlet, followed by a gate valve. The reason for this is that check valves tend to break down; if they do, it is possible to close the inlet and outlet valves of the pump, which makes it easier to replace the check valve. However, it has been suggested that pressure can build up between the check valve and the outlet gate valve, and replacing the check valve could be dangerous. I’ve looked through many specifications but still can’t figure out the correct way of installation. If anyone knows the relevant regulations and standards, please give me some guidance.
A check valve is installed at the pump outlet to prevent the backflow of material, thereby protecting the pump impeller from fluid shock and providing protection for the pump. If you can ensure that there is no backflow of materials during operation, it’s okay not to install a check valve. From this perspective, the requirements regarding the position of the check valve are not as stringent. But since it has been installed, with the check valve in a different position, there must be some differences. The closer the check valve is to the impeller, the less impact the backflow of liquid has on the impeller, which in turn helps to reduce the damage caused by backflow to the pump.
Placed between two different media, but it is not allowed for one to enter the other. For example, torch gas is connected to nitrogen, but when nitrogen is directed to the torch gas, a price check valve is used
