Dear sea friends, I’ve encountered a troublesome issue recently regarding the transportation and stacking height of pipes; actually, it’s mainly about the height during transportation. According to standards and recommendations from domestic and international manufacturers, it generally should not exceed 2.4 meters (of course, different types of pipes have different requirements; usually, the maximum allowable length is between 2 and 2.5 meters). For fiberglass-reinforced plastic pipes, stacking is not recommended when the diameter exceeds DN1300. As I understand it, this is done for safety reasons; after all, if the items are stacked too high during transportation, it can lead to overloading and other problems, and that would be troublesome if anything goes wrong ; The same principle applies to stacking as well. However, in the eyes of the top leaders, it’s not that simple at all; they consider such regulations to be unreasonable and to significantly increase transportation costs, without giving any thought to safety. Therefore, I would like to discuss with all of you here whether, apart from the reason mentioned above for increasing the stacking height, there are any other reasons behind this regulation If practical safety measures are in place, can the number of floors and height be increased arbitrarily (on the condition that they do not exceed a certain limit)?
