What causes the backflow type amot temperature control valve to cause the pressure to drop suddenly to around 0?

The Amot thermostatic valve of the mixed-flow type has been in use for about 5 years. This year, during one operation, the pressure on the downstream side suddenly dropped to around 0. Upon checking the bypass valve and the thermostatic valve, no abnormalities were found; the pressure returned to normal once the pump was started again. I’m not sure what caused this issue. Fortunately, it was a backup pump. Has anyone else encountered such a situation?
The valve cores are all made of copper, so it’s normal for them to stick over time
