For the safety valves of 2 devices of the same model, with identical safety valve parameters, can a common manifold be used for the exhaust pipes?
Personal advice is for reference only: it is possible to use a single exhaust main, but it is necessary to ensure an adequate flow cross-section to guarantee smooth exhaust.
It is recommended not to add it, as doing so is equivalent to increasing the back pressure.
On a related note, can those two devices share one safety valve? There are things like check valves at the inlet of the safety valve……
A single exhaust pipe can be shared, but the discharge area of the exhaust pipe must be no less than the sum of those of two separate pipes. It is also possible for the two devices to share one discharge device, but the discharge area must still be no smaller than the sum of those of the two separate devices.
If that’s the case, there’s no need for it, as sharing will lead to more problems.
The two devices cannot share the same safety valve
I have a question: In chemical plants, the pipelines downstream of safety valves all converge into a main discharge pipe (flare pipe). Of course, these pipelines are separated according to the type of fluid and pressure. Does this count as sharing a common pipe? ? ?
