Here, the first regular inspection of pressure pipelines generally takes place in the 3rd year after the installation and commissioning of such pipelines (which are already registered) – based on the date indicated in the inspection report at the time of completion of installation. The special inspection agency will conduct macroscopic inspections, thickness measurements, non-destructive testing, and other procedures on-site.
Whether to conduct testing should be determined based on the usage time
Pipelines of grade GC1 and GC2 are generally subject to their first comprehensive inspection within 3 years of operation, while pipelines of grade GC3 are generally subject to their first comprehensive inspection within 6 years of operation. The subsequent inspection intervals shall be determined by the inspection agency based on the safety status level of the pipeline, in accordance with the following requirements: (1) For pipelines with a safety status level of 1 or 2, as well as GC1 and GC2 grade pipelines, inspections are generally carried out every 6 years; for GC3 grade pipelines, inspections are conducted no more often than once every 9 years ; (II) The safety status level is 3, and inspections are generally conducted every 3 years ; (III) If the safety status level is 4, the defects must be addressed; if, after addressing these defects and conducting inspections, the device still does not meet the safety performance requirements, it shall not be used any further.
