I would like to ask fellow users for their opinions on pressure reducing valves. The reason why such valves are called pressure reducing valves is that they are suitable for throttling; they can handle the wear and vibration associated with reducing pressure more effectively than other types of valves in such applications. It’s not the case that if the pressure before the valve is 8.0 megapascals, the pressure after it will be 5.0 megapascals, with a 3-megapascal drop resulting from the valve – all valves have the capability to reduce pressure; it’s just a matter of whether they are suitable for the specific application. I hope fellow users will share their comments
The difference between a pressure reducing valve and a regular valve in terms of flow control is that a pressure reducing valve has the capability for automatic, dynamic adjustment.
Many hand valves on site are also pressure relief valves
a. 8-3=x: This indicates that the valve has reduced the pressure by 3. If there are fluctuations in the pressure at 8 before the valve, then the pressure at 5 after the valve will be unstable. b. 8-x=5: This means that the valve reduces the pressure, resulting in a stable pressure of 5 after the valve. If there are fluctuations in the pressure at 8 before the valve, the valve adjusts automatically, keeping the pressure at 5 stable. I think type a should be called a pressure-reducing valve, while type b should be called a pressure-stabilizing valve. Of course, since aging is now the standard practice, everyone has to go along with it
