To verify this, radiographic testing was carried out at a section with an elbow fitting. The verification result shows that the welding engineer said the X-ray images indicated the presence of sponge and plastic bottles inside the tube. I would like to ask the experts on this forum: can ray inspection also detect foreign objects inside pipes, especially those that are non-metallic?
Metal inclusions and the like can definitely be detected. If it is necessary to detect foreign objects inside the tube, it should be possible in theory, but the required power as well as the inspection equipment and techniques would need to be more advanced.
