If it’s a low-temperature medium, the valve should be made of stainless steel; if it’s cast steel, then measures need to be taken to prevent freezing and cracking. If this area does not frost under normal temperature conditions, there is a leak, and the bolts need to be tightened.
It is sufficient to use polyurethane foam or rubber-plastic sponge for insulation; it is best to carry out this process when the pipeline is stopped, as water should not remain inside it.
