Use extended pipe supports; when changing the type of bracket, it’s necessary to consider everything as a whole. Welding at specific points isn’t sufficient here – first, welding might not be effective for such large displacements, and second, fixing such large movements could have an impact on the connections of related equipment
Let’s analyze the specific reasons; who knows what caused it to fall. Is the pipe support not long enough? Is the pipe support not high enough, so the pipe doesn’t sit on it? Other human factors?
It’s not that the pipe supports are not long enough, but rather that the base plate supporting them is not large enough. When the stress effect is minimal, the base plate can be enlarged; it is recommended to conduct a new stress analysis to adjust the position and design of the pipe rack.
The specifications make it clear that during installation, it should be placed above the extension of the pipe with a certain margin in advance; it’s best to calculate this value precisely. If no calculation is done, a margin of around 1/2 is sufficient.
Generally, extended pipe supports are used. This is the most basic design principle for thermal pipelines: if there is significant displacement of such pipelines, they can be installed at an offset, but a specific amount of offset and direction are required. If it has fallen at the site, just push it back up and repair/weld the elongated pipe support
