Are the American API standards for valves consistent with the GB standards? If the valve is designed according to the American API standards, is it okay for the valve manufacturer to produce it using GB standards? Could there be conflicts between the American API standard and the GB standard?
You need to make a comparison and determine what data is required; many national standards draw on German and European standards
The same standards apply to design and manufacturing; there is no situation where the design follows one standard while manufacturing follows another
It’s definitely different; just the flange dimensions are different, not to mention everything else. When making a choice, picking the wrong option is not worth it; picking one that’s too advanced wastes money
The connection dimensions vary; what matters most is the actual pressure. If the actual pressure is 10 kilograms, it’s fine to use a valve wall thickness corresponding to 10 kilograms, and the connection dimensions can be based on API standards
The differences are quite significant; in particular, American standards have specific requirements for the internal components. Special attention must be paid to the details regarding the materials used for these components. Generally, the differences lie in the specifications and dimensions, as the units used are different. The same is true even for pipes. It’s just that the standards set by China’s Ministry of Chemical Industry for pipes are a mix of various standards – including European and American standards, as well as national standards derived from Soviet standards
