This is how the diagram is presented; it doesn’t necessarily mean that it has to be installed underwater. When installing it, one needs to consider the equipment selection – different types require different installation methods
A level gauge is meant for determining the material level; it can’t possibly be installed in a place where it cannot come into contact with the material^_^
Indicate the installation method based on the order
A top-mounted magnetic flap level gauge is used to control the start and stop of the vertical pump. It is recommended to use a protective cover below to prevent swinging and deformation.
Such level gauges do exist. Regarding the issue of whether they should be drawn in water or actually installed in water, it is generally required that when designing the PID control system, its installation configuration in the PID diagram should match the actual installation configuration as much as possible. So that the instrument conditions can be mentioned later.
Radar level gauge: the transmitter is located above the liquid surface, while the sensing element extends below it.
It mainly depends on whether this gauge is installed on the outside or inside!
It doesn’t have to be installed in water; check the type of level gauge specified in the instrument manual
