Do pressure pipeline auditors still need a qualification certificate these days? I have been designing pressure pipelines for many years; in the past, I couldn’t hold a senior professional title, which is why I was unable to work in design roles. Now that I have obtained that senior professional title, I want to change jobs. The people applied for audit positions in my company have no experience in pressure pipeline design; they simply have their senior professional titles earlier than mine.
Under the new X rules, pressure pipeline auditors do not need a qualification certificate, but they must take an on-site exam during the assessment, which is quite difficult; it is therefore recommended to obtain an audit certification.
The certification for pressure pipeline design reviewers is no longer issued since 2017; instead, candidates must take an examination for pressure pipeline design reviewers. If they pass the exam, they are given a certificate stating that they are qualified to carry out reviews of pressure pipelines. Generally, one must hold an intermediate engineer certificate in order to be eligible to take this exam. After obtaining the transcript, one must also undergo regular review assessments at intervals; these assessments consist of a closed-book test lasting no less than one and a half hours, along with a defense session.
I have an intermediate professional title; is having this certificate useful for changing jobs?

This certificate is not very useful for changing jobs, as the training transcript is tied to the company rather than to the individual. In other words, if you switch to another company, you need to learn and receive training again, after which a certificate of completion will be issued to you. But this learning experience is still very useful for an individual.
