I just started handling purchases, and the manufacturer asked me what color the square tubes I wanted to purchase should be. I was puzzled – why is there a requirement for color? What’s the difference between different colors?

In the general petrochemical industry, pressure pipes are typically marked with different colors depending on the medium they are used for, afin of enabling easier identification in daily operations. However, this painting process is carried out before use; in most cases, the pipes leave the factory in their natural color, unless the user has special requirements, in which case it is necessary to communicate more closely to obtain the relevant information.
