On May 30, it was learned from the Pipeline Bureau Construction Company that the technology it submitted, titled “A method for preparing high-density foam concrete suitable for filling the surrounding area of pipes in long-distance tunnels, and the high-density foam concrete prepared by this method,” has passed the patent approval process by the **Intellectual Property Office. This patent has been successfully applied to the installation project of the Yangtze River shield tunnel for the China-Russia East Route natural gas pipeline, with 168,000 cubic meters of foam concrete being used; this application filled the gap in China regarding the use of foam concrete filling technology in shield tunnels for oil and gas pipelines crossing rivers.   In recent years, this patent has been primarily utilized in the Yangtze River shield tunneling project along the China-Russia Eastern route to conduct research on the transportation of foam concrete in tunnels with lengths of over 10 kilometers, as well as on the calculation of mix ratio parameters. To study the effect of admixtures and their dosage on suppressing the heat of hydration based on the properties of foam concrete, the R&D team of a construction company conducted experiments using the single-controlled-variable method, selecting the optimal mix ratio parameters while ensuring that the strength, dry density, and water absorption of the foam concrete met the design requirements. In practical engineering applications, research teams mix foam with materials such as cement slurry evenly, and then use a foaming agent delivery system for on-site pouring, thereby providing natural gas pipelines with a protective \"armor\" that significantly enhances pipeline safety during operation.
