Seeking expert advice: The company plans to install a gate valve under the green clay silo (currently, the material flows directly onto the ground after passing through the silo, and then is loaded onto trucks using a forklift). I would like to know more about the sealing performance of such gate valves as well as their actual usage. (The material contains some moisture and tends to form scale, similar to sludge). I have not used it before, and I’m worried that it may not meet environmental standards once purchased.
A knife gate valve can be used; it is not affected by sludge and has a shut-off function. It can be designed according to your requirements.

There’s no significant pressure; it’s just the gravity of the waste that causes it to fall. Since I had never used it before, I contacted several manufacturers but didn’t obtain the information I needed. It is mainly due to sealing issues, as the waste contains a significant amount of moisture.
