Can bolts of M27 size be used interchangeably with 1"-8UN size?

As the title suggests, can bolts of M27 size be used interchangeably with 1\"-8UN size? Can metric and imperial bolts be used together? Are there any common points? What’s the difference?
Through-hole flanges are acceptable – the main difference between ASME B16.5 and HG 20615 flanges lies in the fasteners used. Flanges with threaded holes are not suitable – their inner diameters and thread pitches differ
The coarse pitch of M27 is 3, while the pitch for 1-8 is 3.175; moreover, both the outer diameter and the inner diameter differ – how can it be universal? British threads and metric threads cannot be used interchangeably.
