Material selection for high-temperature pipelines

I would like to ask everyone: is the material selection for steam pipes related to temperature? Are there any mandatory regulations specifying which type of steel should be used at certain temperatures, or can any steel be used as long as the stress calculations show it is suitable? The steam pipes in our factory are currently made of 20g boiler steel. Is it absolutely necessary to use this material? Can ordinary 20# steel be used instead and still work?
It’s better not to use it; although the stress requirements are met, it isn’t durable
I checked the specifications and found that high-quality carbon steel grades 10# and 20# can be used up to 425℃
The operating temperature of the materials can be referred to as specified in DL751 or GBT12224
