According to the provisions of GB50160-2008 for petrochemical enterprises, section 7.2 on process and utility pipelines states that 7.2.18 specifies that liquefied hydrocarbons, liquid chlorine, and liquid ammonia pipelines shall not be connected using flexible hoses, and combustible liquid pipelines shall not be connected using non-metallic flexible hoses. Then, cannot metal flexible hoses be used either for preventing settlement in storage and transfer pipelines? Nor can flexible hoses be used for connecting tank trucks during loading and unloading?

A sealed pipe section B refers to a section of pipeline in which there are no expansion joints or bolted connections between the two flange connections; such a design can lead to stress concentration in the pipeline when temperatures change or due to settlement, thereby increasing the risk of leaks and accidents. Furthermore, combustible liquid pipelines shall not use Type B connections with flanged walls. The B-type connection for pipes passing through walls involves threading the pipe directly through the wall, and this design can easily lead to fires and explosions. Therefore, in pipelines for transporting liquefied nitrogen, liquid chlorine, liquid ammonia, and flammable liquids, the Type B sealing connection and Type B wall-mounted connection designs shall not be used. .
