Can the minimum operating temperature of the material be lower under low-temperature stress-relief conditions? For example, if the minimum operating temperature for a carbon steel material is -10 degrees, can it be used at -20 degrees under low-temperature stress conditions? According to GB20801.2-2020, the minimum operating temperature under low-temperature stress conditions is -30 degrees Celsius. (Only includes carbon steel material of Curve B)

Hello, it doesn’t seem to state in clause 8.1.3.3 that it only includes the materials for Curve B. The standard reduces the minimum operating temperature for the impact-free test under low and medium stress conditions by 11 degrees; if the original minimum operating temperature for the material was -10 degrees, can it then be used at -21 degrees?
The low-temperature and low-stress conditions should apply only to material B of Curve B, while low-temperature stress reduction applies to all carbon steels.
According to Table 6, Curve B includes low-temperature and low-stress conditions as well as low-temperature and reduced-stress conditions, whereas Curve A does not include these two types of conditions.
It should not be determined based on Table 6; there are specific definitions for low-temperature, low-stress conditions as well as low-temperature, stress-reducing conditions, and as long as the requirements of these definitions are met, it is considered a low-temperature, low-stress or low-temperature, stress-reducing condition
Carbon structural steel is not included among the carbon steel materials applicable per 8.1.3.3-3)
