Do swing check valves all come with weights? Please advise, thank you!
Ordinary swing check valves do not require a weight. For large-diameter, high-pressure differential high-pressure swing check valves, counterweights or buffer cylinders can be installed as needed
No counterweight is required; it relies on the weight of the valve plate itself.
Why is counterweight needed for large-diameter applications with high pressure differences?
The hammering phenomenon is quite severe and can cause damage to pipeline equipment
