We have a centrifugal pump on site, and the water quality used as input easily forms bubbles; just shake it in a bottle and bubbles appear. During operation, air locking often occurs in centrifugal pumps, requiring venting. Is there any good solution?
What is the quality of this water? No water treatment was done? How are the system conditions?
Lower the water temperature, raise the position of the tank, increase the tank pressure
This post was last edited by CHANGBAISHI on 2021-6-11 at 15:38. It’s probably a problem with your control settings – the liquid level control is set too low. It is necessary to ensure that the suction pressure at the pump inlet meets the operating conditions of the pump.
The original poster provided too little information; there are too many factors at play. For things like this, without going into details, people can only guess at various possibilities; you can only rely on luck. There could be issues with the pipe layout, the water quality might be problematic, and the filter could be clogged. You can try using the third floor first to create a return flow and lower the water temperature. Try checking them one by one.
Use a vertical pump, or reduce the installation height of the pump. (The reason is the negative pressure at the inlet of the centrifugal pump, which causes the gases dissolved in water to come out.)
I suspect it’s a water quality issue; it bubbles when placed in a bottle —— probably due to pre-treatment of the water.
Whether the suction lift and inlet flow rate meet the pump’s requirements with an appropriate margin; water quality issues are rare: D
Is it pure water? Upstream pressure, inlet pipe diameter, pump inlet diameter, suction pressure?
It seems like it’s just the two of us, and the first thing that comes to mind is that there might be an issue with the water quality. The others all start with the equipment.
