For the connections between pipes, can branch pipes be connected directly without using any fittings? Are there any standard specifications to clarify this? ; (DN150 main pipes transport chilled brine; there is a DN32 branch pipe. No reducer was found, so the pipes are connected directly. The client asked about this.) 2. Is the use of pipe fittings related to the type of material? Is it necessary to calculate reinforcement based on the material? Please, experts, help me figure this out
For pipes with a nominal pressure of PN25 or lower, it is possible to use them directly. If there are multiple branch pipes arranged closely together, the wall thickness of the main pipe can be increased as calculated.

However, the client requests that it would be best to explain things to him logically, outlining the advantages and disadvantages; P
Low-pressure, non-toxic, and harmless materials can be welded directly by plug welding; the diameters of the two pipe sections to be welded must differ by at least two sizes. High-pressure materials cannot be welded in this way; instead, reducing tees or branch connectors can be used.

Yeah, it’s the part where you have to reason with the property owner in a logical and well-founded way; it’s really frustrating :(
Observation decks are now easily available and not expensive; there’s no need to insist on saving money on a single fitting
You can use pipe sleeves without using reducing tees; why do you have to connect them directly?
