Issues in calibrating slightly positive pressure safety valves

When designing the methanol storage tank, the design institute selected a set pressure of 0.016 MPa for the safety valve, which is less than 0.02 MPa. Currently, this safety valve falls outside the scope of regulation under the “Safety Technical Supervision Regulations for Safety Valves”. Is it necessary to calibrate this safety valve annually? ? ?
Mandatory validation is required. 1. TSG ZF001-2006 “Safety Technical Supervision Regulations for Safety Valves” applies specifically to safety valves; 0.1 MPa is merely the pressure limit ； 2. Methanol tanks are classified as storage tanks for hazardous chemicals; they are not the same as pressure vessels. Generally, regardless of the pressure level, pressure vessels are still considered to be such.
What the design institute provided was an atmospheric pressure storage tank
Verification is required, unless it is designed as a single-acting valve
Currently, there is no explicit requirement for regular inspections; however, from a safety perspective, it is advisable to conduct them periodically. Besides, the cost of inspecting safety valves is quite low.
A safety valve at 0.016 Mpa? It’s a breather valve, right? With such a low pressure, why would there be a safety valve?
