Stainless steel pipes must not come into direct contact with carbon steel! But what about carbon steel? Can stainless steel supports and hangers be used directly?
Sure. The purpose of avoiding contact is to prevent contamination by stainless steel elements, which could affect the material. Conversely, carbon steel pipes are hardly affected at all.
There’s no problem with the contact, right? In our previous projects, there were pipes with direct threaded connections made of stainless steel and carbon steel

Either is fine; the pipes do not come into contact with the pipe tray because expansion and contraction of the pipes would cause friction with the pipe tray, leading to wear.
Why isn’t it allowed to directly connect carbon steel and stainless steel? Because it will cause electrochemical corrosion. Not to mention the brackets. Special treatment and design are required to use it.
