What I’d like to share with you today is the \"tetrafluoro elastomeric strip\" among non-metallic sealing gaskets. I. Introduction: Ectuded PTFE tape, also known as “PTFE elastic tape,” and commonly referred to as “soft PTFE,” is a porous, expanded tape material made from 100% pure polytetrafluoroethylene through a unique processing technique. II. Technical Parameters: Density: 0.6 g/cm3–0.9 g/cm3; Operating temperature: -240°C–260°C; Chemical resistance: All media with a pH value of 0–14, except for molten alkali metals and free fluorine. III. Advantages: As we know, ordinary tetrafluoro gaskets are hard, inelastic, and have poor resilience. The emergence of expanded PTFE tapes has overcome the drawbacks of conventional PTFE sealing products, such as hardness, poor resilience, high thermal expansion coefficient, and tendency to fail due to creep. Eexpanded tetrafluoro tape possesses high flexibility, high compressibility, excellent corrosion resistance, no aging, good creep resistance, a low coefficient of friction, and high tensile strength. In terms of installation and use, unlike traditional static seals, PTFE elastic bands can be adapted to sealing surfaces of various sizes and materials without the need for prior processing or fabrication. It is simple and fast to operate, with high flexibility; it can reduce downtime and save costs in maintenance and replacement tasks, as well as in high-altitude pipeline work and emergency projects. IV. Application scenarios: Various applications, particularly for sealing the flange ends of non-metallic components such as glass, ceramics, graphite, and plastics, or for flange end connections in piping fittings ; End face and flange sealing for pipes, vessels, towers, reactors, heat exchangers, evaporators, etc., with non-metallic linings ; Sealing for acid and alkali resistant pumps and valves ; V. Our Products: As can be seen from the microstructure diagram below, the Fle*ngSeal series of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene sealing strips produced using patented technology feature a highly fibrous interior structure, with a more uniform distribution of the microstructure. This gives them improved filling properties and creep resistance, ensuring consistent sealing performance. In contrast, ordinary sealing products available on the market have a low fiber count and uneven distribution, which still leads to leaks in practical applications.
