I would like to ask everyone for help regarding some issues when entering data into the database. For example, BW – butt weld; SW – socket weld; BR – branch (referring to the weld where a branch is connected to the main pipe?) Can it be used for the welds at the openings in pipe supports? What do SP, RP, and DM mean in the context of FJ-flange joints? Thank you
SP stands for socket-welded pipe, RP stands for reinforced plate, DM stands for diaphragm. .

SP could refer to a SPOOL DRAWING, which is a pipe section diagram, or a spiral weld. RP suggests that REINFORCING PAD refers to a reinforcement plate or a reduction in diameter. DM could be size.
