The Longkou LNG project uses domestically produced roof vent valves

The roof vent valve is a key safety device in LNG storage tanks. This type of product has long relied on imports, resulting in high operating costs; moreover, the long lead times for imported products have to some extent constrained the development of LNG receiving stations. The roof vent valves at No. 711 effectively ensure stable pressure in the LNG storage tanks, preventing damage to the tanks due to overpressure. The successful delivery of this application not only effectively facilitated the commissioning and operation of Sinopec Longkou LNG receiving station, but it will also play a significant role in advancing the full localization of large-scale liquefied natural gas storage and transportation technologies. Sinopec Longkou LNG project includes 4 LNG storage tanks with a capacity of 220,000 cubic meters each. Upon completion of the project, the natural gas supply capacity will reach 7 billion cubic meters per year, which is of great significance for enhancing the natural gas supply capacity in Shandong Province and throughout the Bohai Rim region.
