In GB/T 20801-2025, a separate clause is dedicated to the definition of the scope for vacuum pipelines; may I ask what kind of pipelines are specifically referred to here? Where can I find authoritative answers?
Vacuum pipes refer to pipes whose maximum operating pressure is greater than atmospheric pressure and less than 0.1 MPa (gauge pressure); such pipes are explicitly included in the scope of application for industrial pipes as specified in GB/T 20801.1-2025.
The compilers of GB/T 20801 published an article titled \"Coordination and Differences between Industrial Pipeline Standards and Code Requirements\" in the 2nd issue of Volume 58, 2021, of \"Chemical Equipment and Piping\". Figure 1 in this article shows the range for vacuum pipelines (pressure is expressed in gauge pressure). Although this comparison is between TSG D0001-2009 and GB/T 20801-2020, there are no changes in the new standard regarding vacuum pipelines.
