How can the condensate water from the hydrogen distribution station after chlorohydrogen treatment be collected in a sealed manner?
Same question. Last time, the **safety inspection team also brought up this issue when they visited our company.

This is something that is taken into account in the design of these water collection tanks; the key issue is the discharge of water from these tanks. What they mean is to discharge it into a closed system. This water cannot be discharged directly into the ditch.
The key is the ultimate fate of the condensate; whether it comes from the equipment or from the collection tank, the condensate contains dissolved hydrogen. Even if the amount of dissolved hydrogen is very small, it is still present. The key is to avoid gatherings; this is the most important thing. As for the idealized, completely airtight recycling process, what can be done with the materials after recycling and what their value is, experts likely have not considered these matters. After recycling, the recovered water can be used for salt production, replenishing brine in wells, as machine seal water, or as make-up water for circulating water systems – I believe all these applications are feasible.
If the hydrogen compressor you are using is a water ring vacuum pump, it is recommended to install a condensate collection tank. The condensed water collected can be used to refill the gas-liquid separator of the compressor. Additionally, a pipeline should be provided to lead this water to the hydrogen washing tower; any excess water from the washing tower can then be sent to the brine crystallization tank
Hydrogen treatment poses safety risks when it comes to the sealed recovery of condensate water from pipelines or distribution stations. When a sealed recovery tank is used, it must be isolated from air, as manual drainage will inevitably release hydrogen gas, and the accumulation of hydrogen gas creates even greater safety hazards. Additionally, maintaining pressure balance in the sealed water recovery tank is also a challenge; with a hydrogen pressure of 50–60 kPa, it is difficult to drain water into the tank, as well as to remove the water that is already inside the tank in a sealed manner. So the expert gave you a problem that has no solution – just like the question posed by the expert regarding whether the safety valve of a single tank should be connected to a recovery system or directly to the atmosphere; there is currently no answer!
Install a condensate tank to return the collected condensate to the hydrogen scrubber
If the hydrogen compressor you are using is a water ring vacuum pump, it is recommended to add a condensate collection tank. The collected condensate can be used as makeup water for the compressor’s gas-liquid separator. Additionally, a pipeline should be provided to lead the water to the hydrogen washing tower; any excess water from the washing tower can then be sent to the brine regeneration tank. This is the one used in our factory
