On the morning of June 8, a ceremony was held to mark the completion and commissioning of the project by Pingmei Shenma Group’s Chlor-Alkali Development Company, which has an annual production capacity of 66,000 tons of chlorotoluene series products. The construction of major projects by Pingmei Shenma Group is the core and vital support for the development of the salt chemical sector; it is crucial to the speed and quality of industrial development. In recent years, Chlor-Alkali Development Corporation has adhered to product structure adjustment as its main focus, actively engaging with the new energy, new materials, and nylon industries, while deepening its efforts in the field of chlorine-consuming fine chemicals. In line with the Group’s requirements for extending and strengthening the chlor-alkali industry chain, Chlor-Alkali Development Company broke ground on June 18, 2022, on a project aimed at producing 66,000 tons per year of chlorotoluene series products. On June 3 this year, the project successfully produced premium-grade products, marking a successful initial trial run. Once the project reaches full production, it is expected to produce 66,000 tons of chlorotoluene series products annually, while consuming approximately 48,000 tons of chlorine gas per year. This will not only help meet the company’s chlorine demand, but also optimize its product structure and extend the Group’s chlor-alkali industry chain. It will create new profit growth drivers, further consolidating and expanding the Group’s competitive edge in related industries and facilitating its high-quality development.
