Company Overview: The Sino-foreign joint venture Jiangsu Debang Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd. was established in December 2004; it operates across Jiangsu and Anhui provinces, with its headquarters located in Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province. The company oversees several subsidiary and affiliated companies, including Debang Xinghua Company, Debang Precision Company, Debang Real Estate Company, Anhui Debang Company, and Debang Xinghua Technology Company. The company’s predecessor was the Lianyungang Fertilizer Factory, established in 1966. It was one of the first enterprises in China to use the soda ash-ammonium chloride process for the production of soda ash and ammonium chloride. In 1996, the company was restructured into a wholly state-owned limited company, and in December 2004, foreign investment was introduced to establish a Sino-foreign joint venture. In recent years, with the development of the urban area in Lianyungang City, the company is located in the central part of Haizhou District, where there are increasingly strict requirements regarding safety and environmental protection. These requirements not only affect urban planning and construction but also limit the company’s development. To this end, Jiangsu Debang Xinghua Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. was established in July 2012 as the entity responsible for the company’s relocation; the new company is located in the Xuwei New Area of Lianyungang City – within the Pilot Zone of the East-West-Central Region Cooperation Demonstration Area. The project requires 1,356 mu of land for planning. All necessary approvals have been obtained for the project (project registration, energy assessment, safety assessment, environmental impact assessment, occupational health assessment, geological disaster assessment, etc.). The engineering design is in progress, and orders have been placed for the long-term-use, large-scale equipment required. The company has currently entered into a cooperation agreement with the American company AP to establish a joint venture. Due to the needs of project development, we are now seeking candidates for the following positions: 1. Synthetic ammonia equipment technician (the ammonia synthesis process uses the Cassali technology; it relates to a 350,000-ton synthetic ammonia project). 2. Alkali production technician. 3. Gasification technician (the gasification process makes use of the Jinhua furnace technology). 4. Air separation technician. 5. Process engineer (those with experience in processes such as purification – methanol washing, liquid ammonia washing, large-scale synthetic ammonia production, gasification, and air separation are given priority). All of these positions require experience in the chemical industry. Soda ash is still being produced using the double-alkali process, a technique that has been in use for almost 100 years and has long since been phased out. There is now a new ammonia-free process, which reduces the investment required for building soda ash production facilities by 20% (no need for two ammonia absorption steps). Ammonia is not introduced into the entire system, thus avoiding ammonia-related odors – a problem that those working on site can truly understand. This also results in a reduction of investment costs related to ammonia synthesis by 2 billion yuan. Production costs are reduced by 500 yuan.
