The drying of hydrogen chloride generally involves the following steps for stepwise water removal: 1. High-temperature gas exiting from the synthesis furnace, with by-product steam or air cooling; 2. Circulating water cooling ; 3. Cooling with frozen brine, but it should be noted that lower temperatures are not necessarily better (Floor 5); the dehydration process through cooling using hydrogen chloride essentially involves the formation of high-concentration graphite hydrochloric acid. High-concentration hydrochloric acid freezes at -17.5°C, so for PVC production, it is best to keep the temperature of the frozen brine above -17°C ; 4. For processes with more stringent requirements regarding moisture content, a 98% sulfuric acid drying process is required.
