Recently, the make-up water for primary brine in our company contained free chlorine. Tests showed that high-purity acids and various types of deionized water contained no free chlorine, and tests on dechlorinated brackish water also revealed no free chlorine. I would like everyone to help analyze the reasons.
Pay special attention to the analysis of dechlorinated brine, as brine is an important factor in the entry of free chlorine into primary brine. It could be that the analysis results are inaccurate, or there might be something incorrect in the manufacturing process.
The most likely explanation is that the brackish water contains free chlorine. As for the claim that no free chlorine was detected in the analysis of the brackish water, it’s possible that the brackish water was problematic at some point in time; free chlorine was found in the seawater, but investigating further upstream may not lead to the source of the problem, unless the seawater consistently contained free chlorine, in which case it might be possible to identify the cause by tracing back upstream

By strengthening the dechlorination process, the addition of sodium hyposulfite can be appropriately increased.
