Zirconium products are processed using an aqueous solution of soda ash. It gets very dirty after preparation. It must be filtered through industrial filter cloth! Additionally, it tends to crystallize in winter. I wonder, is soda ash really that dirty? (I’ve tried several manufacturers; I’ve also used food-grade ones.)
No way, please check whether the dirt is impurities or if it’s due to too high a concentration. If it’s not due to impurities, adding a filter will suffice; if crystallization is likely, then the equipment and pipelines should be heated and insulated.
The concentration is around 15%, I guess. It’s just very dirty. I’ve never understood what’s going on. After filtration through industrial filter cloth, the solution becomes very clear. This step involving soda ash is quite important for the product quality. After giving it some thought, it might be because the ingredient tank isn’t cleaned regularly, since it needs to be filtered all the time! However, the ingredient tank itself is sealed (relatively speaking; at the very least, it prevents dust from getting in). So, where does the dirt come from? It’s only brought in by soda ash
This is completely normal. Currently, I’m quite disappointed with the quality. Normally, it doesn’t seem problematic, but when dissolved in water, the issues become apparent.
Could you please be more specific? For example, does it contain suspended particles, and what is the color of those particles?; Whether there are slag-like impurities; color of the impurities: whether there is insufficient transparency ; Recently, I’ve been dealing with quite a few accidents involving such soda ash products; we can discuss this together!
Speaking of quality issues, we’ve had instances where hard lumps were found inside the soda ash packaging bags. Moreover, if soda ash contains high levels of substances such as iron and sulfur, the solution is prone to discoloration.
