Control the outlet temperature of the reactor so that the temperature of the process gas is above the acid dew point, which depends on the concentrations of SO3 and H2O in the gas. Refer to the sulfuric acid dew point chart to determine the corresponding dew point of the acid, and ensure that the temperature at the reactor outlet is at least 30°C higher than this dew point, in order to prevent sulfuric acid from condensing in the outlet pipelines of the reactor and causing severe corrosion to those pipelines.
